We are pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Xiaohua Yu of the University of Göttingen as Project Professor (Japan Gateway: Kyoto University Top Global Program) . The appointment period is one year from November 1, 2016 until October 31, 2017. We are confident that Prof. Yu will play a leading role in promoting the educational and research partnership between the Division of Natural Resource Economics in Kyoto University and the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development in the University of Göttingen. Prof. Yu is coming to Kyoto in January 2017 to teach an intensive lecture course entitled “Mathematical Economics for Agricultural Economists” to our graduate students.
