On 26-28 February 2020, as part of the Japan Gateway: Kyoto University Top Global Program (JGP), we will be holding 2020 Kyoto University & University of Göttingen Joint Graduate Workshop themed “Towards a Sustainable Future of Food, Agriculture and Rural Society.” From the University of Göttingen, Dr. Claudia Neu (Professor of Rural Sociology) and eight graduate students under her supervision will be participating in this three-day workshop.

February 26: Session for Lectures on Agriculture & Rural Society in Japan
Two lectures will be given by Prof. Motoki Akistu and Dr. Kiyohiko Sakamoto (Associate Professor, Ryukoku University). These lectures will be aimed mainly at the graduate students from University of Göttingen, but all other interested students and faculty are also welcome to attend.

February 27: Session for Students’ Presentations
A total of seven presentations will be given (three by KU students and four by UG students).
